To get started with mdVC, ensure that SAP AVC is properly licensed, activated, and configured in your S/4HANA system. mdVC is an add-on that extends AVC — not a standalone module — so AVC must already be operational.

Once mdVC is installed, you can verify the installation under your system's installed software components:

We are actively working toward full Clean Core compliance. In some areas, stable and officially released interfaces from SAP are still missing, which currently prevents full clean-core architecture across all use cases. Full Clean Core compliance will follow as soon as the required released interfaces from SAP are available.

As of now, the add-on is structured into:

/MXP/VCHA Tier 1 - fully Clean Core-compliant components
/MXP/VCHA2 Tier 2 - some components with access to not Clean Core (C1) released interfaces (currently being refactored)
